Sizes

If your have a 7x16 sized rim, it means the rim width is 7 inches and the rim diameter is 16 inches. The width is usually below the width of the tyre for a good match.

For the Grand Vitara, Suzuki fits 235mm tyres (9.25 inch) on a wheels that are 7 inches wide.

Offset on outset wheels

The offset is the distance in mm between the centre line of the wheel rim, and the line through the fixing face. It is dimension C in the diagram on the right.

The other dimensions:
   A = (Width of rim) / 2.
   B = Backspace.

The offset is calculated using:   C = B - A

All our GV's have outset wheels (like this one). Therefore the offset will always be a negative value.

PCD or Pitch Circle Diameter

All Grand Vitara's come with 5-bolt wheel hubs. But when you buy a set of new rims, you will also need to know the correct PCD-value.

The PCD is is the diameter of the invisible circle formed by scribing a circle that passes through the centre point of each mounting hole.

For all GV's the PCD is 139,7mm. In fact, this value also applies to Vitara's and Samurai's.
