| Wading depth of a standard GV |

A standard GV should be able to drive through watercrossings up to 50cm deep. The depth you can safely cross, is limited by the height of the air intake. If water enters the air intake, it may enter your engine as well. When water enters one or more cilinders, you'll probably end up with a broken engine.
Cars with a petrol engine are more susceptible to damage caused by water, than cars with a diesel engine. The latter are not equipped with an electrical ignition system! The only way to get a decent elevation of the air intake, is to install a snorkel on your GV!
